Nexium 24HR Once Daily Dosing Tablets provide symptomatic treatment for frequent heartburn and acid reflux.
These tablets are specially formulated todetermine absorption risk and safety. They should be swallowed whole with water. Do not swallow or use other bowel motions. Avoid lying down for at least 10 minutes after taking the tablet.
Always read the package leaflet before use and speak to your doctor if you have any other concerns.
While the tablets are being used for this relief, it is important to continue taking the tablets for at least 14 days after completing the course. Some side effects may occur, but they are mild and diminish after a short duration. These include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, muscle aches and muscle pains. Some active ingredients in these tablets are either excipients or binders in the gut. In these cases, the active ingredients may bind to the tablets and reduce its efficacy.
Important, do not take more tablets every day than your doctor tells you to. This is because the tablets may be required to last 4 hours or longer to achieve desired results. Also, the absorption of Nexium 24HR Once Daily Dosing (or any other HRT) may be affected by food. Method of Preparation
Liquid oral suspension: 2.5 to 5 mL (2.5 to 5 mg/mL) is prepared by mixing esomeprazole 20 mg (equivalent to 20 mg) in 100 mL of water. Stir until the clear suspension cloudy form builds.

Nexium® is not indicated for use in the treatment of gastric cancer.
Warnings
Patients with heart failure should be monitored and treated with esomeprazole prior to the onset of coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Use of esomeprazole for the treatment of gastric cancer has not been evaluated in clinical studies for this indication.
Co-amiodarone
Aromatization with an aromatase inhibitor is indicated for the treatment of and the development of breast cancer.
